Registration

I want to make sure if the refund form was sent correctly.

You can check the information sent to the Organising Committee from the URL for the refund form through information e-mail of the refund procedure sent individually to the recipient of refund.

What procedures do I need to take, in order to receive a refund?

We are planning to make refunds through the bank transfer.
We will send the URL of refund form to the e-mail address registered as the log-in ID of the entry system.

When will I receive a refund of the entry fee?

If you have returned the form including the necessary information for the refund process by 4th February, we are aiming to complete the refund process by the end of March 2022.
In case you return the form after 5th February, we will process your refund accordingly.
In addition, please note that if there is a deficiency in identity verification or bank information, it may take longer time to confirm once again.

The World Masters Games

Is it decided to postpone the Games for the second time?
Also, when will it be held?

Yes. The Games had been postponed for the second time.
The new dates after the postponement is currently under discussion with the International Masters Games Association (IMGA). We will make an announcement on our Games website, as soon as the dates are decided.

Competing in the Games

When and what disciplines will be held in the rescheduled Games?

It is scheduled to be held with the current 35 official Sports and 59 disciplines, however the timing of publication for details of the competitions or Sports Information Guide are undecided.

I was registered to the waiting-list, how do you handle my registration from now on?

The registered waiting-list will be revoked. Thank you for your understanding.

When I registered to the competition, I had also applied for equipment rentals. How should I handle those reservation?

The application for competition equipment rentals arranged by individuals are as follows.
【Discipline：Rowing】
World Masters Games 2021 Kansai・Shiga Local Organising Committee will contact you separately regarding the cancellation of application for rental boat. Please confirm the contents and proceed to cancellation procedure.
【Other disciplines besides Rowing】
There is no need for cancellatio procedures by individuals.

Transportation

I have booked flight and train tickets to participate in the Games for May 2022. What should I do with those bookings?

Please cancel those flight and train tickets arranged by each individuals on your own.

Opening Ceremony , Closing Ceremony

When and how the postponed Games Opening/Closing ceremonies will be held?

The venue remains the same - Opening ceremony (Kyoto City)・Closing ceremony (Osaka City), however the details are undecided.

Accommodation

I have reserved accommodation to participate in the Games for May 2022. What should I do with the reservation?

For those who have made reservations through the recommended lodging facilities (JTB Sports Station), we will take steps to cancel your reservation.
For those who have made reservations through other travel agencies, please follow the cancellation procedures by yourself.

Inclusive

Please let me know which disciplines can the athlete with impairments could participate in the postponed Games.

We are planning to hold the current "Discipline in which the category for people with impairment is provided" and "Discipline in which consideration is given to people with impairments to participate", however the timing of publication for details of the competitions or Sports Information Guide are undecided.
