Although the rules of softball are similar to those of baseball, softball balls are bigger than baseball balls, and pitchers must throw underhand. Runners are not allowed to leave the base before the ball leaves the pitcher’s hand. Softball is a safe sport that anyone regardless of age or sex can enjoy and is popular around the world.

* The following definition on the grade shall apply.
A: Competitive: Regional tournament level
　(Applicable to players competing in regional competitions and playing in club teams)
B: Recreational: A level at which players enjoy the game for interest and exchange
　(Applicable players who participate not for purposes of competition, but for hobby and interaction)
　* Players are eligible to play either the actual age category or a younger age category.
　　The age of the youngest player in the team will determine the team's age category.
　* If there are not enough entry teams in an age category, such age categories and grades may be integrated and implemented.
　* Teams can apply for entry to both the first half competition and second half competition

Age Requirement

Minimum age is 35 (born on or before 31st December 1987)
In line with the sport-specific rules, an athlete must compete in their designated age group, with your age determined as at 31st December 2022.
For example, if you are 44 during the event but will be 45 by 31st December 2022, you would compete in the 45+ age category.

　22nd - 24th May 2022, Teams participating in the first half competition
　26th - 28th May 2022, Teams participating in the second half competition
　1 hour before the start of each game during the event

[Venue]
　To be performed at each venue (headquarters).

[Remarks]
　All teams must submit the list of players.
　In case of withdrawal from the game, it must be reported to the headquarters at least two hours before the start of the game.
