Postponement has been decided for the World Masters Games 2021 Kansai.
The new dates are being arranged.
Please note that the followings are the information before the postponement was confirmed.

In clay shooting, competitors use a shotgun to shoot down targets in the air. The targets are small unglazed plates known as clays. Events include trapshooting, which involves shooting clays flying in the forward direction, and skeet shooting, which involves shooting clays that come flying from both sides alternately or simultaneously. Competitors need to hit targets flying at speeds of 22m to 30m per second with pellets travelling at 300m per second or faster, which requires very quick reflexes and fine movements.

* Participation in a younger age category than in the own age category is not allowed.

(1) Japanese athletes must be in possession of a legal license for possession of guns or an explosives transfer permit (firearms cartridge permit), and must register with the Japan Clay Target Shooting Association before the competition.
* At the time of the event, participants must present a copy of the registration certificate from the Japan Clay Shooting Association and the firearms cartridge permit.
* However, this does not apply to those who entered by 28th February 2021.

(2) Japanese nationals who wish to participate in the Para-Trap Category must register with the Japan Para Shooting Sport Federation and the Para Shooting Department of the Japan Clay Target Shooting Association before applying for participation.
* Participants must present copies of the registration certificate of the Japanese Sports Shooting Federation for the Disabled and the Para Shooting Department of the Japan Clay Target Shooting Association, and the firearms cartridge permit.
* However, this does not apply to those who entered by 28th February 2021.

(3) Those who wish to participate in the General Category from overseas should be registered member of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), and their participation should be approved by their Federation.
* Copy of the registration certificate should be submitted at the time of their application.

(4) Those who wish to participate in Para-Trap Category should be registered member of World Shooting Para Sports or National Federation of one’s own country, and their participation should be approved by their Federation.
* Copy of the registration certificate should be submitted at the time of their application

Age Requirement

The minimum age requirement is 30 (born on or before 31st December 1992).
In line with the sport-specific rules, an athlete must compete in their designated age group (with your age determined as of 31st December 2022).
For example, if you are 49 during the time of the Games, but will be turning 50 by 31st December 2022, you would have to compete in the 50+ age category.

　* Participants must complete both the accreditation process and check-in by one day before the participating event. (There will be no accreditation process and check-in on morning of the event.)
　* There will be a competition briefing during the start meeting held on the first day of each event.

　It is possible for agents to complete entry procedures for the games (including a representative for a team). (Participants must complete the accreditation process themselves as AD cards will be issued.)
