Rifle is a sport which rifles and pistols are used to compete for aiming a midpoint of a target and the events vary depending on the type of gun, range and posture.

* Each athlete can compete in a maximum of two events among the relevant classes.

(1) Japanese nationals must be members of the National Rifle Association of Japan.

(2) Overseas nationals must be a registered member of International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) member federations. Please attach the copy of your registration certificate at the time of your application.

(3) Japanese nationals with impairments who wish to participate must register with the Japan Para Sports Shooting Federation before applying for participation.

(4) Overseas nationals with impairments who wish to participate must be a registered player classified by World Shooting Para Sport. Relevant PDF documents should be attached at the time of their application.
　* SH2 class athletes need to obtain permission for their loaders in advance too.

Age Requirement

Minimum age is 30 (born on or before 31st December 1992)
In line with the sport-specific rules, an athlete must compete in their designated age group, with your age determined as at 31st December 2022.
For example, if you are 49 during Games time but have turned 50 by 31st December 2022, you would compete in the 50+ age category.
